Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My elementary is home to over 600 diverse elementary students in Pre-Kindergarten through 5th-grades. It's a joyful place to be! We have Makerspace areas that need to be stocked and ready for our Bulldogs to create.

Makerspaces provide student-centered inquiry by allowing them to experiment, design, build, tinker, and explore their interests.
My Project
It is so important to give students an opportunity to have hands-on learning experiences, choices, and the freedom to express themselves. Makerspaces encourage creativity, build critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and are collaborative spaces where students work together, allowing learning to unfold naturally.
All of the items will be in our Makerspaces where students can choose what they want to create.
I have requested a variety of materials, such as pipe cleaners, wooden dowels, origami paper, cardboard cutters, and more!
These resources will allow our Bulldogs to utilize our Makerspaces to their fullest potential and get them made!
