Help me give my students high quality building materials for our Maker Center!

My students think STEM is AWESOME! They love investigating, exploring, creating, and using their knowledge to explain the world around them.
I teach 3rd through 5th grade students at a high needs school in Washington, DC.
Over ninety percent of my students qualify for free and reduced lunch, and over twenty percent qualify for special education services. Each of my students comes to class with a unique personal and cultural background that influences their learning. It is my job to ensure all students engage in meaningful STEM experiences and master grade level science standards. These topics are challenging for many of my students. There is a lot of new vocabulary and abstract concepts to learn. Students often struggle to put new material together and make connections to their own experiences, especially when we don't have the materials needed to do hands-on activities.
Visiting the Maker Center is one of my students' favorite Science class activities! In the Maker Center, students build models to demonstrate their understanding of course concepts, solve engineering design challenges, and engage in free building time. This school year the Maker Center was filled with thrifted and found materials. I would love to start the next school year with a fully stocked building center!
The building materials will allow my students to further develop their engineering skills, express their creativity, and engage in hands-on learning!
Please support my students' love for making!
