Brave and curious, my students lead their own learning in our choice-based art studio. My kids work with “big idea” themes to envision, plan, and produce original art using various media centers.
These kids mean business when they are making!
They are dedicated to their process and not afraid of making mistakes. They will stretch past their comfort zones to try new ways of making and inspire others to do the same. More than anything, they really love to make.
My Project
In our choice-based art studio, students envision, plan, and produce their own ideas into proof of learning. Media centers are built by the kids so they know where their materials are and how to use them appropriately. We are so excited to add a 3D printing center to our studio!
Studio learning inspires infectious engagement and curiosity!
Using “Big Idea” themes, kids will be navigating their 3D printing experience to make what uniquely inspires them to create. Having agency over their learning exponentially increases their self-confidence and allows them to trust the creative process.
By adding a 3D printing center to our studio, we will be capable of using STEAM learning initiatives and extend their learning to other content areas, as well!
