Have you ever tried a Cricut? I am in love with this tool and know that my students will be too! The Cricut could help turn boring student projects into fun makerspace creations.
I want to transform my ELA curriculum by creating a makerspace for my students.
My district works very hard to enhance student learning, but does not always have the funds for needed classroom supplies. My students now have access to a Cricut which is a die-cutting machine that can add wow to student projects, but we don't have the supplies to use with this amazing machine. Three-fourths of the students in my district receive free or reduced lunch. Many of my students come from hard-working homes where the parents do not have money left over to purchase school supplies.
My Project
Students today enjoy being active learners. My students love to read and love to write. We recently had a Cricut added to our classroom to help students add active, engaging elements to their reading and writing projects. We need the proper tools to help us use the Cricut that was added to our classroom. My students need an Easy Press machine, mats to use while making projects, and pens to use in the Cricut machine.
I love to provide an active, engaging learning environment for my students.
With the proper classroom tools, students can make what they read or write about come alive. An engaged student, is a student that is mastering the grade level curriculum. School work does not have to be boring!
