Maker Space for Students With Exceptionalities

Help me give my students with exceptionalities materials to spark innovation, creativity, and learning in the library!

My Project

Our school library has created a MakerSpace for students to create, design, and find materials and equipment to bring their ideas to life. We want to stock the MakerSpace with equipment and tools to support innovation in engineering, design, and the arts. The goal of our school library MakerSpace is to promote creativity, collaboration, and support for students who wish to design and build their own projects. The MakerSpace offers support for students to extend their learning and work on arts and engineering projects.

This project includes supplies for arts and crafts supplies for students with exceptionalities to work with other teens in our school and create hand-painted stepping stones for their garden, jewelry-making tools, and supplies for making custom bracelets with their names.

Pairing students with peers of the same age will build a sense of community and offer all of our students the opportunity to enjoy the library Maker Space.
