Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a bustling place filled with enthusiastic, intelligent elementary students eager to learn. When the students enter my classroom each week I always hear questions about what they'll be learning that day, exclamations about how much they loved the books they read the prior week and hopeful voices volunteering to help organize the books on our bookshelves. They love trying new things and our teachers love seeking new ways to make learning exciting!
When you walk into our school you find yourself immersed in an overwhelmingly positive atmosphere which evokes feelings of home.
Friendliness and warmth fill our halls and our young students cannot wait to embark on new learning adventures each day!
My Project
Our students love learning about coding but due to time constraints they often need to complete projects in a short amount of time or without using computers. Ozobot Bit Coding robots will allow them to practice coding techniques with only the robot, markers and paper! Our students will be able to collaboratively draw courses and codes for the robots to follow, troubleshoot their drawings and enjoy seeing their hard work pay off as their robots successfully complete their courses.
Ozobot Bit Robots will be the perfect addition to our Makerspace-a simple, fun activity to help build sophisticated coding skills!
Our students will be able to develop their imaginations, art techniques, cooperative skills and leadership skills while they code!
