I teach 7th-grade students who are smart, funny, caring and lively. These students are going through a time in life where they crave autonomy and relationships. Because of this, students work together to create their own ways of learning.
My students bring unique qualities to the classroom because of their diverse backgrounds.
My students come from many different socioeconomic backgrounds and neighborhoods. This is the best part about my students. We learn from each other each day, while we are building relationships with each other. We are learning to appreciate the different ways that each of us learns, we want that effort to continue.
My Project
We create many visual displays during the school year, not only for in our classroom but also for the halls around us. We like to have them be bright and colorful so our students have things to think about all the time. Our classroom markers are starting to look weary and we need to replace them so we can keep going.
The students are highly engaged when they have nice supplies that help them make their mark in my classroom, so new markers are just what we need.p
Last year we ended the year with only yellow markers left to use, this year, we want to finish strong with a lot of options!
