Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is a unique class of 31 third graders. They're creative, inquisitive, and energetic. Their passion for learning makes me a better teacher. I want to make sure nothing comes in the way of their learning because they deserve the best.
Our school is located in the Bronx and is filled with students from all different backgrounds.
All of our students get free lunch and breakfast.
Although our school has very limited funding, I never want my students to lack whatever they need to learn.
My Project
Students in my class don't just learn from me....they learn from each other.
These supplies will enable my students to work collaboratively in groups.
They will use the charts, paper, and pencils to show their work on a larger scale. That way the entire class can understand their process of solving problems, thus, making their thinking VISIBLE. Students will also use the dry erase markers to show and share their work on white boards we already have in class.
Students love to show off their work. Now I'll be able to hang up their great ideas around the class to use as resources.
