My students are an energetic group of 7 and year olds who love school!
Some of their greatest joy comes from completing and displaying their projects. Our rural district does the best it can at providing students with the supplies and technology that they need to excel, but because of budgetary restraints, printers and colored ink have been eliminated from our classrooms.
My Project
These materials will not only benefit my students, but their families as well. A printer and colored ink will give my second graders the opportunity to see their work published and displayed. In addition, it will give me the resources necessary to create activities and games that are visually appealing and motivating to my students. The ability to scan and copy will allow me to digitally store student work and other paper resources which can then be sent electronically to families.
This project will benefit my classroom in several ways.
First of all, it will provide my students with a vital tool to help them create and display their work. Secondly, it will allow me to create materials that appeal to my students and motivate them to learn. Lastly, it will improve my communication with families by giving me the ability to scan and e-mail student work.
