Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students come from a variety of low-income, urban neighborhoods around Dallas to receive the only Talented and Gifted, Two Way Dual Language/Bilingual curriculum in the city. They are creative, enthusiastic, and inquisitive about the real world.
Many of their parents have had to overcome challenges to offer their students a greater education and opportunities that they would not receive otherwise.
Our students have a concrete understanding of what it takes to achieve. They are the future world changers we need!!
My Project
These wireless microphones, the lighting, and the speaker sound system will help us get achieve our goal to create our one of a kind broadway like atmosphere for our first annual spring musical. We are a brand new school in an older building, therefore we do not have any materials or equipment for our stage production.
The lighting will help our students shine and be seen throughout our space.
Our space is in dire need of professional lighting, as it is an old building. The wireless microphones are ideal for this musical to run as smoothly as possible because it will allow them to dance and strut while singing and be heard throughout our multi purpose library/stage. The wireless microphones connect to the speaker sound system I am asking for so that the students performances can be heard by every audience member.
