My Students

This project will serve children who qualify for public preschool either with a diagnosed disability or by meeting low income requirements. Children in this program are ages 3-5. When a child with a diagnosed disability turns three years old, they are eligible to attend our program. They typically stay in our classroom until they are old enough to go to Kindergarten. This means some children are in our class for almost three years. The amount of growth we see is amazing!

My Project

Hi! Thanks for your interest in our project! This project will provide each of my students the gift of a precious Hug a Sloth (or other animal!) Kit for our sweet preschool students to enjoy at home over the holiday break with their families. Each child will receive one kit which includes a book and plush animal.

It is critical that all children, but especially our students, are read to by adults.

Our children are all 'at-risk' due to low household income or a diagnosis of a disability. This gift will provide a fun opportunity to engage families in reading to their child at home.
