This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Many of my students come from low-income and one parent households. My students face challenges daily with school supplies, support and resources, as well as a list of other challenges. Many of my students are below grade level. However, they do not let their challenges get in their way! My students always come to speech therapy ready to work with a smile on their faces. They are all so enthusiastic and love working on their speech and language goals. My elementary students are in grades K-5 with a range of abilities and skills. I work with students with a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Emotional Disturbance, Specific Learning Disability, and Speech and Language Impairment.
My students are all unique, which makes them so special!
Your contribution will make a difference in the lives of my students.
My Project
The colored ink, printer, laminator and velcro will allow us to utilize colorful activities so we could use them over and over again. My students are much more engaged when everything is in color!
Being able to have an accessible printer will allow for so many more language opportunities.
After laminating colorful speech therapy materials, my students will be able to use them over and over again to increase concept knowledge. We will use these materials to address expressive language, receptive language, and articulation skills. This will help my students so much! They will be so excited to use new materials!
