My Students
The students I have this year are very outgoing and active kids. Their desire to learn is inspiring and their encouragement to each other is absolutely admirable. I have been lucky to have a class filled with such amazing students.
Each student deserves equity, not equality.
I have students who can sit nicely for long periods of time; and I also have students who have to constantly be moving. Having as many different flexible seating options as I can will hopefully help with those students who feel that a normal chair is just not their best option.
My Project
Adding these two chairs two my classroom will enhance my options for flexible seating even more! I will now have five different seats the students can choose from. Not only will they be able to choose their favorite seats, but every child will have the chance to decide which seating helps them learn the best when we have daily five and they get to rotate through all the seating.
Having a choice is important, even if it's just where they want to sit!
My students have loved their flexible seating options so far, and the wobble chairs will help grow their appreciation.
