My Students

I have 84 students in my family sciences class. We are in a low economic area. Our schools have 80 percent on free and reduced lunch. My students try to make good grades but it's a struggle. As a school district, we are trying to go to Google Chrome and Google classroom as much as possible. Some teachers have Chromebooks, however, sadly I am not one since I was told I'm not important as the core teachers. I feel that I do as much as the core teachers, even though I am a career and technical teacher. I am asking for Chromebooks so my students can use Google classroom for their work. My biggest class is 17 students and the Chromebooks are about $200 each. I think I could make do with 10 Chromebooks. I'm trying to push my students to learn as much as possible and the Chromebooks will help with my teaching. I appreciate anything for my project. I've been teaching 21 years and I'm still just as excited about my kids as I was my first day of teaching. Please help me to help my kids. Thank you so much!

My Project

My students are being trained to use computers and Google Chrome is a must. Students use Chromebooks in high school and will in college or their future job. I want my students to be able to use Google and be successful in their future. I also work with special education students and we use Google classroom to read them their tests. It's very useful. Chromebooks in my classroom will not only help my kids, but me as well. I can upload various items to Google classroom and, viola, instant info to my students. Even if they're at home. They can always access anywhere, anytime.
