My Students

My students are eager to learn and excited to read. They can’t seem to get enough of the books in my small library. They love hands on projects and experiments. They have this infectious curiostisty for the world that inspires me to constantly provide engaging lessons and topics for them to discover. I want them to continue their love for learning throughout college. They also have a thirst for technology but have not been exposed to it a lot. The students are from a low income urban area in which most students do not have internet. Sometimes the only technology exposure they get is at school. Please help me keep my students spark alive for learning and knowledge.

My Project

The book set will allow for whole group reading and discussions. My students will be able to work in groups to discuss the book. They will also complete STEM projects based on the novel. Having a whole class set will give my lower students an opportunity to read a book above their level. Students will use cooperative learning and social skills to discuss the books and share their opinion. Students will learn Common Core Standards while enjoying a great book.
