My Students

Remember the days when classwork was done with paper and pencil only? Well I hope that my students never have to remember those days.

My students range in age from Kindergarten to third grade.

They all have IEP's and have a range of disabilities including autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and learning disabilities. Our school is the largest in our district with over 800 students. It is a Title 1 school, so the students in my classroom have received every possible intervention and continue to need additional support.

My Project

The scanner and Hover Cam that I am requesting will allow me to take the textbooks and workbooks that my students are currently using and display them on the SmartBoard. This will allow my students to engage in interactive lessons with immediate feedback and increased learning opportunities.

My student's have an intervention curriculum designed to meet them at their level and move them forward.

However, this curriculum does not incorporate technology. With the direction our society is going, as well as the new common core curriculum, it is vital that my students are able to utilize technology. These items I am requesting will allow me to introduce my students to technology while integrating their curriculum as well.
