My students come from a small, tight-knit community where people are more like family than just neighbors. They are hardworking, deserving, extraordinary human beings with big dreams and bigger ambition.
Our classroom environment functions under one word: family.
We look forward to coming to class and foster an atmosphere for lifelong learning. We laugh, we joke, we cry, we love within these walls. We support each other in everything we do and I strive to make my room a place where kids want to be.
My Project
Our school is in need of some major updates. Since I cannot request a new school, I am requesting things to help make my own classroom better for student success.
School is a second home for some students.
Maybe even their only home and my kids are no exception. I try to provide comfort, warmth, praise, food, and safety for all of my kids. The things in this project will not only help them emotionally, but it will meet a lot of their physical needs as well! The snacks will be used for kids who do not get enough to eat at home, the light covers will help to tame the constant headaches some of my students have and the fidgets can help anxious students feel more relaxed.
