My students need colorful book buckets and labels for our classroom library.
Our classroom library is very drab. I cannot paint my classroom, and the rug in the reading area is old and dirty. I would love some colorful book buckets to spice up the library area. The labels will help the students categorize the books and learn about different genres.
My students live in an urban area and many of them come from low-income families.
The school has grades K4-5th. My students are young, easily engaged, and enthusiastic about school. Our school has limited resources such as paper and crayons. The students do not get any art or music classes and only get gym once per week. The students work so hard and appreciate everything they get!
These colorful bins will brighten up the library area and spark the students' interest in reading. The bins will help keep the books categorized and organized so the students will be able to locate books with ease. The students' reading skills will be enhanced with every book they choose!
The overall impact on this project will affect the students reading skills for years to come.
In kindergarten students learn the building blocks of reading. I believe that a colorful, fun, and comfortable reading environment helps this process.
