This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
When you think of tenacious, cheerful, loyal, and funny, I immediately think of my students. I never experience a dull moment while facilitating the learning targets for each of my young scholars. They encourage me to give them the best and they most definitely show me their best in their words and deeds.
My Project
The materials will make a difference in my students' learning by creating an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. The diffuser and hand sanitizer will ensure that classroom is clean, free of toxins, and increase a calming affect that will allow the students to focus on the assignments given. The construction paper, ink, and Velcro will assist students who do not have voices to communicate with their peers and family. The microwave will increase their independence by developing simple cooking skills.
Preparing for the world at large for students with special needs will only improve by facilitating their independence.
Making the world accessible for non readers only increases their ability to function more independently in society.
