This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 25 fifth grade students come from a very diverse community with many different cultures. They are joyful, driven, and love to learn. They care so much about their future and want to be successful.

As a teacher in a low-income and high poverty school, it is important that our students have access to all the supplies needed to be successful.

They show up ready to learn regardless of​ the obstacles they face and should be able to participate in activities regardless of their financial situations.

My Project

BrainPOP is a website that offers hundreds of animated movies plus related interactive quizzes, learning games, activities, and informational texts aligned to the Common Core and other academic standards. It covers topics within Science, Social Studies, English, Math, Arts & Music, Health, and Technology & Engineering.

This resource would offer differentiated learning for my students, provide high engagement, and would easy to implement as I navigate distance-learning!

With a BrainPOP subscription, students would be eager to strengthen and deepen their understanding of the material. The donations will support struggling learners by giving them access to multimedia videos.
