My Students

I have a classroom of eager learners who love coming to school and explore the world of learning. Most of my students are from low-income families and many do not have the supplies they need for their school day. Most parents do their best and want to see their children soar, as do I. Second grade is such a fun age- we spend our day doing many fun and different learning activities to grow as learners. But my favorite things is to see my students grow as a community- caring, supporting, and learning about each other.

My Project

All classrooms need places where kids can sprawl out, get together with friends, grab a book and read, or meet together for a class meeting. We meet several times a day on the large rug that I presently have, which is in bad shape. The kids also read and play on these rugs during the day. The small rug would be in our library, creating a cozy place for reading and hanging our with friends. These new rugs would be such a blessing to our classroom and would by much appreciated.
