This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the pleasure to work in a Title I school in the Bronx, NY. My diverse students are primarily from Mexican and Dominican descent, with a few exceptions. Their parents moved to America to give these dynamic kids wonderful opportunities. However, this is difficult without interesting learning resources.

My students deserve the opportunity to come into a classroom full of resources and technology!

My students love to read and enjoy art projects! They also crave hands-on learning field trips. They are motivated by rewards! I'd love nothing more than to make their seven hours a day with me as enriching as possible.

My Project

My school has a very small budget and each teacher is encouraged to decorate their classrooms, but how? We need bulletin boards that are eye-catching! These boards welcome students, parents and visitors.

They will eventually be decorated with student work. What better way is there, to get students excited about having their work hung, then to have SUPER COOL bulletin board backgrounds and borders?

Please help me to have a more attractive classroom next fall. When my students arrive, I want them to feel honored that I am their teacher, the one with the "cool" classroom decor!
