Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a high needs school as we are located in a very low-income community. Our community struggles financially and it is hard for them to donate to our school. Since our socioeconomic status is of primarily low income, our school qualifies for Title I funding, providing free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch.
I am asking for help to purchase the materials needed for my classroom, which benefits our students first and foremost!
My students come first and meeting their needs to learn is important. They deserve to be stress-free, free of distractions, and to not have to worry about purchasing materials needed to learn.
My Project
Learning to plot coordinate points and identify quadrants, drawing pictures on a graph, adding and subtracting on a number line, plotting , finding parabolas etc...require the use a 4 quadrant graph.
Having a dry erase graphing board helps students to learn these concepts easier and at the same time increases rigor in their understanding of the skills being taught.
I have been printing graph papers and it can get costly with the many times we use them and the number of students that uses graph papers. I am asking for help to get dry erase graphing boards, dry erasers to write on and several other materials.
