Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Room 311 is full of energetic, eager, and willing participants in the process of learning. Each day my students come to class with many different outside influences, coming from a Title One predominately free/reduced school lunch district, but once they enter their math class, their love for learning comes in full force.
My students deserve the best environment to help enhance their learning.
The passion my students have for learning, in any and all types of environments, needs to be nurtured.
My Project
Keeping students engaged in math is essential for college and career readiness. Making my classroom a comfortable learning environment where students can learn and express their thoughts in spaces other than the traditional classroom environment is essential for success. The flexible seating will help my students build a collaborative environment and have them tackle challenging math problems in a different setting than in a desk. I try to implement many different learning strategies and techniques, and having a flexible seating station will help bring my students to the next level of collaboration and innovation.

This new environment in math class will help students reach their fullest potential, and allow them to make the impact on this world that they want to make.
