This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our first and second graders in room 128 are energetic, enthusiastic, and super social. They are so enjoyable to be around. They love being involved in the learning process and want to succeed.
Learning never stops!
Our school is located in northwest Milwaukee. Most of our families struggle with poverty, which creates difficulties in having supplies needed for learning at school and home. Our goal is to provide an equitable education for each student by using DonorsChoose to be able to have the resources and supplies needed for them to reach their full potential.
My Project
A successful math and reading classroom is one that provides each child with the learning experience where each child can grow at their own pace. The items selected in this project would support that mission. Currently, we don’t have these types of resources to support this growth. It would be great to have more options. The visuals would support math instruction daily. Also, these manipulatives and games would be great resources for centers and intervention time for both subjects. These resources would be used daily throughout the school year.
Learning should be a hands-on experience!
This project was also created to keep the excitement of learning going in room 128. I am an educator that goes beyond pencil and paper! Please consider our project!
