My students come from a variety of different backgrounds and walks of life but due to the low socioeconomic environment of our community, over half of the students in my district are eligible for free and reduced lunch. My students are spontaneous, love learning and come in each day with millions of stories to tell. They always love to please and do their best. It is amazing to watch them grow and develop over a school year.
Kindergartens are, by nature, active children.
They love to move and play.
My Project
Children love to move and be on the go. Clipboard, paper, and markers will give my students the tools that they need to be on the go learners. These resources will be used within my math and STEM blocks where my students are up and moving. During our STEM block, we use clipboards to go outside to observe nature and document findings in our journals. During math, students work cooperatively with each other in various places in the classroom.
My inquisitive students thrive on hands-on learning experiences and academic challenges that truly encourage growth!
