My Students

I have been teaching first grade with APA for 13 years now and it is my passion. We have a very diverse group of amazing students coming from all different backgrounds and cultures. One of the best ways to truly teach is with manipulatives and the ability to cross reference with real life background knowledge, in lieu of any language barriers.

My Project

These materials will be used in the classroom for hands on learning and real life connections. These will be particularly helpful in science with germs, body systems, and astronomy! It is an incredible way to teach these abstract concepts and I am so excited to get started.

The best way to learn is when it feels like playing!

We will be able to actually construct an atoms with particles, hold the organs we learn about, build base ten blocks, see what a microscope does, open a metamorphic geode, and many more fun learning activities, all of which will only be possible with these new kits and donors help.
