This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Second grade is such an exciting age for students! We learn and grow so much during this formative year! We are expanding on what they've already learned in the previous grades and introducing completely new topics! My students are eager to learn, we just need help with the resources!
With future leaders, doctors, teachers, and world changers in the classroom, we are striving to build a community that fosters all styles of learning.
We love to play, sing and learn in all sorts of ways. A majority of my students are from very low-income homes, but that doesn't stop them from wanting to be their very best selves!
My Project
My students come to school each day hungry to learn. They love rotating through our centers and getting to "play" while they are learning. They get excited to learn through ways that incorporate fun and teamwork. I want to make these centers as engaging and fun as possible for my students.
Mixing education with fun makes learning accessible, memorable and exciting for all students.
Centers are vital to student learning because they target different learning styles. This way, each student is given the chance to succeed in a way that works best for them as individuals. These educational games would give students a chance to work independently, or as teams, to practice fundamental skills.
