This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are very special people that can brighten up a room. Most of my students have to deal with many obstacles that many adults don’t even go through. Seems like they can’t be kids and go through many traumas at such a young age. This is why I try to have my room open with love and support.
This year I am trying a different approach within my classroom as I have adopted conscious discipline.
We will focus on breathing and working through our emotions. I am trying to set up my room as a comfortable and safe space for learning. I want comfortable living spaces for them to learn in and also take any breaks they may need. With my babies I want them to feel as if the classroom is theirs and make it feel like a home. I want their learning to fun and exciting so they have something to look forward to everyday!
My Project
These items will help my students learn in a fun way. It will also help develop fine motor. These items will be used in fun centers that the students will never get tired of using. This will be a fun and exciting way of learning.
Many of the items can used for many purposes to help a child's learning.
I know my students would love these new centers. Candy jar counting will be fun for them to count. The magnetic fishing poles will be used for numbers and letters and the students will enjoy them. Learning can be very fun.
