Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. With the right tools I can create an environment that incorporates all the different learning styles of my students.
I want to be able to provide as many learning tools as possible for the students so they have a range of learning activities.
Children come from all walks of life, they think different, learn different and even play different. If I can provide this opportunity for the students it would an amazing year!
My Project
I love to start out a lesson with a hook, maybe a short video or a matching activity that I have the students participate in. Next, I continue with a short whole group lesson where I introduce the new standard. I may have the students use their journals or white boards or tools that will help with the understanding of this new standard. Then, when we break into center groups this is where I can see if the student can tackle the new standard on their own or if they still need some small group instruction. With these tools I can lace them into centers and let the students explore and play and have fun while learning.
