I teach an absolutely amazing group of second graders. I usually have between twenty-two to twenty-eight students in my second grade class. They come into second grade excited to learn. As an educator, it is so important for us to keep that spark alive!
Our school has a high population of military families as our school is located down the road from a military base.
Many of the students have had to balance school and home life while having a parent deployed. My students have a pure passion for learning that inspires me to be a better teacher!
My Project
I am requesting two resources to help my students. The first resource is a math center resource and the second one is one that will help with reading comprehension.
Each game is tailored to the unique needs of Second grade.
The games and activities provided help students practice core concepts while staying engaged and having fun! Students will love playing or working at each center with these engaging and motivating centers. Students will have so much fun, they won't think of it as work! This resource will help my students understand counting, decomposing, measurement, geometry, addition, subtraction, word problems, and more! Every standard can be addressed! Each center or game can be easily differentiated! You can tweak each game to fit your classroom needs.
The Reading Comprehension Passages and Questions for Guided Reading Levels C through P are designed to help students learn to read carefully and to find evidence to support their answers to text-based questions. The increasing complexity of these passages helps make differentiation efficient and effective. These passages are ideal for use during small group instruction, intervention lessons, close reading lessons, fluency work, as assessments, as homework or as morning work.
