My students share the excitement of wanting to learn through different resources. My students are creative and have a desire to learn and they deserve the opportunity to learn in the best form and fashion possible.

I am a 4th/5th grade teacher that teaches English and Social Studies in a rural area. There are some classroom materials that are in need for my classes that would help improve their learning experience.
My Project
The use of maps is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in social studies. As of right now, it is very difficult for my students to analyze a map without a colored printer. Our maps are just black and white, so my students are not getting the best instruction. If we had a colored printer, it would be easier for my students to analyze and see the entire picture. My students have be able to analyze a map completely in order to answer the rigorous questions. In our small classroom, it is very difficult to keep privacy during testing situations. As educators, we want to see the student's best work and not the work of their neighbor. The privacy dividers will help hold students accountable for their work.
