Make Learning Fun With Hands-On Materials/Activities
Help me give my students alternatives to traditional teaching methods and materials. The Light Table Alphabet Tracing Tiles and Math Trays make learning FUN!
My students are part of our district's Life Skills Program which is called our "Comprehensive Intervention Program." I also work with preschoolers with multiple disabilities and our Kindergartners with IEPs.
Each of my students has very unique and individualized learning styles that lead us to use a variety of teaching strategies and an extensive toolbox of materials to best include all students and support them on their educational journey.
The students I work with have a wide range of needs including Speech Impairments, Language Impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Orthopedic Impairments, Blind/Low Vision, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Developmental Delays, Multiple Disabilities and Mild to Severe Cognitive Disabilities. My goal is to best meet their individual needs while making learning fun so that they are motivated and excited to learn.
My Project
These materials and manipulatives will provide my students with learning opportunities that are hands-on and interesting. They will be able to practice their handwriting and mathematics with the use of the light table. This is a method that will stimulate their sensory needs all while making it FUN.
If you are able to help fund this project you will be making learning enticing to students who not only need sensory input, but who also love and are motivated by hands-on activities.
At the kindergarten level it is not only important to provide the foundations for their academics, but also to create a love for learning that will be the foundation for their educational journey.
