Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am working with some fantastic students in a resource environment! My scholars are in many different elementary classrooms, but will be pulled into my space for special education services! They will be working on all of the core subjects with me. I can't wait to see their smiling faces as they continue learning!
My scholars are special education students in a Title 1 school, who are trying their best to reach on grade level!
These scholars are in a very transient community. Many families speak English as their second language. We strive to meet the needs of all of these scholars every day. Thank you!
My Project
My scholars are hard working and have learned a lot throughout this year thus far. However, many are finding ways to adapt to learning and managing their learning disabilities. It can be discouraging to them to have resources that they do not relate to or enjoy.
By using logic games, fun flash card activities, and inventive writing prompts, the students will renew their excitement for learning and develop more educational independence!
Games such as 24 will increase their logical thinking as well as fact fluency. The writing prompts will allow the scholars to add on and create something by themselves.
