This year, I am so thrilled that to have the honor of teaching math and science to an incredible group of 6th graders! These are my two favorite subjects and I just love this age group!
Our school has a spectacular staff and incredible community support!
Even though we are located in a low socioeconomic area, it is clear that parents want the best for their children by their active involvement. All of our students receive free breakfast and over 80% receive free lunch. My students face many daily challenges, but they always come to school with dazzling smiles, ready to have fun learning!
I have a fantastic bunch of sixth grade scholars this year! They love to learn, discover, and create. Every day is an adventure and I am so honored to be their teacher!
My students would love to add some more items to our MakerSpace!
We are requesting some MakerSpace books to give us some ideas of what we can build! We will use the duct and Washi tape, pipe cleaners, pom poms, craft sticks, and other materials in a variety of ways. From air powered cars to boats that won't sink, the possibilities are endless!
The requested materials will help my students explore their creative side and give them the chance to use critical thinking skills. They will design, build, solve problems, and rebuild will a purpose. This is 21st century learning at its finest!
