My Students

I have been teaching Kindergarten for the past 11 years at a low-income, high-needs school. This is my fourth year teaching self contained Kindergarten at my school.

Many of my students come from foster care or a home that can be stressful and overwhelming.

I can see it in their faces that they are trying their best to enjoy life, but I can also see that they are worried, angry, frustrated etc. over things going on in their life and it’s unfortunate.

My Project

We would love to have laminating paper for our classroom. We use laminating paper for many different things within the class. We use it for our support charts so that they do not get messed up and they can last for a long time. We also use laminating paper to preserve some of our writing that we published and want to share with our families. The laminating paper is also used on some of our work that is presented on our bulletin board that is displayed in the hallway. This helps keep our work intact and still looking good while students frequently walk by touching it.
