My Students

My 1st grade classroom is made up of 13 girls and 7 boys. I have two special needs students.They are very bright and eager children. They love the idea of technology and experiencing different things. We just want to learn lots of things and make the world a better place.

My special needs students need special materials to help them succeed.

We live in a rural area in Virginia known as the Coal Fields. The coal is presently not as productive as it once was so the schools and their funding are limited.

My Project

The materials in this project are for making hands-on activities for all my students but the special needs students will enjoy the center and hands on activities more.

All students want to learn.

Being able to hold something in their hands helps students to identify and remember things better and longer.

The materials in this project will help us to make more fun learning center activities. We use the laminating sheets to make the materials last longer. The ink is used to print the things off.

We just want to learn lots of things and make the world a better place.
