I teach 3rd grade at a rural elementary school in Southwest Virginia. My students are a very rambunctious group of third graders that work hard to get the most out of their education and are eager to learn.
Many of my students come from working families that depend on the school environment to help their children become the best they can be.
Many students do not have the supplies they need at school. I believe they deserve the best education I can provide for them. Although I wish I could provide all the materials they require, I need help from others to do this.
My Project
Dry erase board let me quickly assess my students' understanding without using and wasting pencils and paper.
Students love being able to show me their answer by holding up their dry erase lap board, whether it be reading, science, social studies, or working a math problem.
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle are what the students learning science. We can practice these concepts by not using so much paper in class. This will also teach them to help our environment by reducing the amount of paper we use at school.
Please help my students become smart, environmental conscientious, learners in the classroom.
