My Students

I teach in an urban school in a very large school district. Each school in our city has it's own budget based on many different factors. There are 1.1 million students in the district.

Students love to have the ability of having books at their fingertips.

Students want to always feel as if they have them at any more in an accessible way.

I have many students in the classroom each year. Our school district is quite large and resources are hard to come by each school year.

My Project

Students will have fun choosing and keeping their independent reading books in a school-colored bin for fun storage and an engaging way to keep their favorite titles close by.

Promoting school spirit is just as important as independently reading books of their choice.

Students will pick their books and keep them tight in their school-colored book bin to read daily in the classroom. They will keep them tight/snug in their bed so they don't lose those magical words they will be reading.

Students love to keep books neat because they are like real people and come alive when reading independently daily.
