My Students

My students are a large group of eager students who want to learn the concepts of English and start to master the challenges of the Chinese language.

All of my students are part of the Chinese immersion program here at our school.

The students spend half of their day in a normal first grade classroom, and the other half of the day they spend learning Chinese pronunciation, vocabulary, and math just to name a few things. These students are incredible, and they love to be challenged.

My Project

Every week I hold centers for my students. All but one of the centers are independent learning centers where my students are able to learn independently while I meet with my reading groups.

One of the hardest things for me as a teacher is being able to have enough independent learning centers so that my students can routinely have new and exciting learning experiences.

These learning centers will help me create new independent learning opportunities for my students.

My centers portion of the day is always a class favorite. Please help me keep learning fun and engaging for school years to come.
