My students need classroom learning rugs for use with various seating configurations in alternative seating and a couple of vacuums to keep them clean.
students need the experiences and materials that enrich their lives in a positive way. I believe as a first-grade teacher at a high-risk school that all children deserve these experiences.
Many children in my classroom are low income and have few experiences to explore outside of their small town.
Many students in my classroom do not have books at home and many other basic necessities. It is very important for my classroom to be a place where students can have a wealth of resources in order to be successful.
My Project
Our classroom rug has been used for too long. It is falling apart, and there is no funding to purchase a new one. We need your help to keep our year running smoothly. I need students to have a place to come for learning time and for small group time.
Students need a clean, learning environment.
Help make learning better in our classroom! They need a variety of games to do many activities throughout the year. Students love to sit on the floor instead of their desks. I need more incentives to keep them motivated and interested. Grants have worked and were an amazing improvement in the past, so I continue to ask for various items to help my class. Students will learn to care for their materials and enjoy the content in a fun way. I am also asking a for two small vacuums to keep our rug free of paper and trash. The students love the responsibility of cleaning up after themselves, and this will help our rugs stay clean.
I try to increase their motivation in math, science, and social studies by making learning fun. With creative ideas and fun activities, students begin to make connections between my classroom and real life. These rugs would allow them some flexibility to stay focused on their work.
