This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work in a low-income school district. One hundred percent of my students participate in the free lunch program. As such, their parents usually can not afford things such as school supplies and other learning manipulatives. However, they do not allow this to set them back in the classroom.
My students are bright, inquisitive, and eager to learn.
They come in each day smiling and ready to learn. Their sweet faces and energy help to feed my passion for becoming a better teacher. It's not always easy, but it's always rewarding.
My Project
I teach Kindergarten through fourth-grade students in a PBL (Project Based Learning) computer lab. There is not an account for the computer lab and needed supplies to complete projects are quite expensive.
Second-, third- and fourth-grade students research, create, and print projects to present to their teachers and classmates.
The projects help support their learning, foster their creativity, and build self-esteem.
Please consider donating to our project! You would be assisting me in the educational growth of my wonderful students as well as helping them explore the depths of their own imaginations as they create projects. My sincerest gratitude!!
