Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every day is a new challenge in our class. Our learners are just beginning to make the transition from simply "sounding out" words, to reading for excitement. The students begin the day motivated and eager to learn new skills. Through teamwork and determination, we have made great strides this year towards our goals of having all students reach benchmark levels and beyond. New tools encourage students to persevere when the tasks become challenging.

These students deserve the opportunity to learn in such a way that prepares them for their future. Our school community is dedicated to the success of all students, despite the many hardships that exist for our families. The use of appropriate technology will make learning accessible to all students, all the time. Learning should be fun, active and engaging!
My Project
These Robotics and Movie Making kits will allow our students to create and collaborate with other users around the globe to innovate the world of education and empower them to program. Robotics provides a context for inquiry and discovery, leading students to become active problem solvers and to engage in their own learning. The aim of hands-on experience with engineering and mechanics, (provided by using robotics in the class) is to put students in the role of creating and designing with information technology and not just using and consuming it.

We are living in a technology-rich world. Science and technology are extremely popular with learners of today; they are also pathways to career opportunities in the future. Program building robots aim to help students develop logic building and critical thinking skills at a very young age.
