My Students

If you can think it, you can write it! My students believe this and enjoy writing down their thoughts from explaining their reasoning in math to creating great works of fiction. We lose valuable time during the day because we do not have a pencil sharpener in our classroom!

My students are eager 2nd graders who love to write about everything.

My students are hard workers who love to learn. They are busy learners all day long. We are a targeted assistance Title I school. Due to budget cuts we are limited on supplies and equipment.

My Project

With two electric heavy duty pencil sharpeners in our classroom, valuable instructional and learning time will not be lost with the students going next door or across the hall to sharpen their pencils. These pencil sharpeners have safety features that make them safer than hand held pencil sharpeners.

There is never enough time to do all of the things that need to be done, but losing valuable instructional time for students to go next door or across the hall to sharpen their pencils is too much time lost.

Having pencil sharpeners in our classroom will increase my students time on task and increase the time that I have for instruction.
