My Students
My students are in 5th grade, but they are still just kids. They love to play games and electronics like most kids. They come from a variety of backgrounds, from living in poverty to relative wealth. This provides for some interesting classroom discussions.
My students are inquisitive and competitive. They enjoy hands on materials to learn math, which is what I teach.
My Project
My students love to express their artistic sides any time they are given the chance. Because I know this about them and their learning styles, we often have coloring and doodle notes as part of our lessons.
My students need a fresh set of markers to use in order to be able to continue learning in this way. Right now students share a collection of previous classes’ leftover markers. We would use the new markers to add notes to our interactive notebooks for math. We also use them when we take science notes and show our learning.
