Help me give my students two Chromebooks with Google Education tools because they are essential to our learning goals and offer students the ability to have more choice over their learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year, I am embarking on another year of teaching and continuing with the 1:1 model in my classroom. My school, district and I understand that the skills and abilities needed by workers in the 21st Century are different than the skills and abilities needed by preceding generations. California State Standards have also changed, with a focus on 4 C’s: Creativity, Collaboration, Communication and Critical Thinking. The 1:1 Chromebook program will cultivate, foster and support learning that reflects these contemporary exchanges and interactions.
In a world where answers are at the fingertips of our children’s questions, being an educated person means having the skills necessary to interpret this information.
Over the years, the students have embraced the growth mindset and have learned to set goals based on their individual needs. Through the 1:1 program, I am able to communicate swiftly with individual students and coach them through these goals using technology tools to aid their learning. Not only have our test scores improved, but students have built confidence and agency in their learning.
My Project
Because of the increasing class sizes, I have less access to the amount of Chromebooks needed to ensure a real 1:1 in my classroom. I have used the 1:1 model in my class room, quite successfully, for three years.
Collaboration, Creativity, Communication and Critical Thinking are the four Cs imbedded into my 1:1 program, but the fifth C, is definitely that Chromebook!
Students use technology to work together to complete projects, communicate through Google Classroom and further their thinking through research. They take ownership of their learning by setting goals and tracking their progress. Students are able to create beautiful typed stories, create digital art, learn coding, practice math skills and interact in a web based world.
