Main Lobby and Office Area Renewal Project

My students need a sofa and two chairs for our office and lobby renewal project.

I teach music to grades 6-8 and work as an administration intern along with our principal. We serve a low-income population, with about 98% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch.

Our students host many community resource and involvement events. Our office furniture in the main lobby is about 30 years old. It is tattered and worn, and desperately needs to be replaced. The chairs have holes in them, and some have legs that have been replaced before. I am leading the students in renovating the office area with new furniture.

We are requesting 2 chairs and a sofa. We plan to use materials in our shop workroom to build 2 end tables to match the new furniture. Many visitors who come to our school may feel turned off by the appearance of our entrance area. With the new furniture in place, the students will receive a great benefit by inviting their parents and the community to become even more involved, as they will have an entranceway and welcoming area that is appealing to our visitors! The students will have the opportunity to learn to work together as a group, and will write thank you letters to the donors. Language arts teachers will help the students use correct letter-writing skills, punctuation, and grammar.

Your help as a donor will make it possible for my students to help renovate and redecorate our main lobby and office area. They desperately need your help! We hope you can help us find a solution to this issue!
