Ms. Kuykendall from Charlotte NC is requesting Supplies through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

My students need their own mailbox slot for graded papers and hand outs to send home. The extra slots will be used for misc. items and extra copies of assignments, etc.

My Students

Every school day brings new experiences and memories that will last forever. Teaching fifth grade always keeps me on the edge of my seat! My students mean the world to me. It is my job to prepare them for the scary world of middle school and to love and support them as much as possible.

My students make me excited to wake up every morning at the crack of dawn so that I can teach my heart out.

I have such a wonderful mix of personalities in my classroom and truly feel blessed to touch their lives as they touch mine. My school is a wonderful and positive learning environment. My goal is to send each child home every afternoon with a smile on their face and a brain full of brand new things that they have learned.

My Project

My students would LOVE to have this mailbox because it will help keep them organized. Each child will receive their own mailbox slot where graded papers and school handouts will be placed. By having these mailboxes, time spent sorting papers to send home will decrease and the students will be able to find what they need with ease. Since there are 36 slots, the extra slots will be used for extra papers (assignments, handouts, etc.)

Donations towards this particular project will help me and my students improve our organizational skills.

It is key for 5th graders to master organizational skills before they head off to middle school because they truly have to stand on their own two feet once they leave the safety of our elementary school.
