My Students

We are a vibrant Title I middle school in San Jose, with almost 500 students in grades 6-8. We are a close-knit community, with many of our families having lived in this area for several years. We are a small district, with 3 elementary schools, one middle school and one K-8 school. Our teachers, staff, parents and community do our very best to bring the best educational experience to all of our students.

My Project

With the help of generous donors on DonorsChoose, I have been sending my band students copies of sheet music every 2 weeks. They love getting new songs to practice and play. Now that their skills are improving, I am sending them a wider range of styles and genres, and am also including staff paper (which has the music lines printed on it) for them to compose some of their own music to share with us.

Please help me to continue sending my band students music-by-mail by purchasing these postage stamps for our class.

With your help, I will continue to expose our students to a wide variety of musical styles and composers/arrangers, as well as encourage them to write their own music and become composers/arrangers themselves.
