This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a small school located near beautiful Lake Michigan. My students bring much welcomed life and curiosity into our classroom. My kiddos come from diverse backgrounds and have so much to share with me and each other. Together, we learn and laugh daily.
In our classroom, we are eager learners and critical thinkers.
My students enjoy hands-on learning and engaging activities.
It is my goal to make the most of every day and every opportunity I have to provide the best learning environment for my students.
My Project
Having an actual mail center will help with the overall flow and organization of our classroom. The first thing my students do each morning is turn in their communication folders and the last thing they do is retrieve their folders before going home. This puts a lot of wear and tear on my current fragile mail system.
This new sturdy mail center will help foster independence as well as help facilitate communication between home and school.
My current mail system hangs on a wall and falls down frequently. A new sturdy mail center will give us a much needed central location to house folders, graded papers, and communications to and from home.
